Dalhia is a humanitarian, International speaker, facilitator, artist, activist,advocate, and trainer. Her work has impacted 5 continents with impact areas including Tanzania, the UK and Haiti. and benefitted survivors of local, state, national and international conflicts and disasters. She deals with issues of genocide, genital mutilation, human rights abuses, mass violence, mental health, women’s global health, empowerment and safety, social justice, suicide etc. She has worked to aide survivors of the Midwest floods, the earthquake in Haiti, and Hurricane Katrina. She is a member of American Mensa and the International High IQ Society, has served as a Ms Black Florida, Ms Black Miami Gardens and Ms Palm Beach County USA as well as first runner up to Ms Black USA. She has Had a mention on NPR/ WLRN Sundial, she had a sun on CBS Sunday Morning she is the Inaugural Poet Laureate of the City of West Palm Beach as appointed by the honorable Mayor Keith James. She is A World Record Holder, and participated in a second world record attempt with a cadre of international artists. a TED Discussion Host and participated in a Guinness World Record attempt. She has been published in the African American National Biography (Harvard/Henry Louis Gates), she has been recognized with the Muse Thalia Lifetime Achievement Award. The Legends of Entertainment award in the category of theater and spoken word. She has been recognized by creative capital, the state of Florida, the National Endowment for the Arts, the Awesome Foundation Puffin Foundation among others. She has had trainings through the Kennedy Center and Holocaust Memorial and Museum. ,Her work resides in the estate of Harlem Renaissance Sculptor Augusta Savage. She has been commissioned by the Henry Flagler Museum, Norton Museum, Boca Museum and Black Art in America. In addition she has trained over 30,000 people nationwide in anti violence principles and worked with survivors of several mass casualty events.
